In our video, Emma discusses on how to use the WEE FREE Sub-Base Soaker to deodorise artificial grass.
What is the Wee Free Sub-Base Soaker & how does it work?
Wee Free is an enzyme cleaner. This means that it uses non-pathogenic, “good” bacteria and micro-organisms to digest pet wastes and malodours.
The bacteria produce enzymes specifically designed to break down certain molecules (wastes/soils) into smaller pieces. These smaller pieces become “food” for the bacteria.
The bacteria consume these soils and break them down into two basic compounds: carbon dioxide and water.
The bacteria grow in number and continue to consume the dog pee and poop until it’s all gone, then the bacteria population levels off or decreases.
Like an ultra-powerful biological washing powder, it contains millions of very specific micro-organisms and bio-enzymes that when mixed with water start to multiply quickly.
These are natural micro-organisms, the same as you’d find breaking down biological matter in your soil, but in vast numbers per bottle. Multi millions per litre.
The tiny micro-organisms can penetrate into the urine-soaked backing of your artificial grass and the cracks and concrete of your paving and patios, eliminating malodours that other cleaners would not be able to reach.
Their mission is to find and digest pet urine in your artificial grass. It’s their main food source. They love it!
WEE FREE is safe for pets, won’t damage plants or the underground water table and it’s almost PH neutral.
The bio-enzymes in the WEE FREE Sub-Base Soaker will continue to multiply and digest the smelly urine in your artificial grass for up to a week in warm damp conditions.
A number will not be activated immediately but will start to multiply when it next rains, or you wash the lawn. Thus continuing to help deodorise your garden.
How to keep your grass smelling sweet
Now your grass is nice and clean you need to keep it that way to prevent a build-up of urine and odour.
You can wash the grass weekly or fortnightly with your WEE FREE Sub-Base Soaker at a more diluted ratio.
You should also consider applying ZeoStop – the odour reducing minerals that absorb the dog wee like a sponge.
